WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – A rush to get the Affordable Care Act up and running is at the heart of all the problems that have plagued the health care reform law, says a conservative think tank.
American Action Forum examined data on the ACA regulations, and found the White House fast tracked many of them.
27 rules were rushed through without any review, says the report.
It notes that a major EPA rule is usually under review for an average 100 days but significant ACA rules were reviewed for an average of 29 days.
4 big health care exchange proposals were given an average review time of just 16 days.
The report suggests this may not have been enough time to catch any problems with the rules.
