LANDOVER, Md. (CBSDC) - A fire at a UPS facility in Landover may have potentially charred countless Christmas gifts Saturday morning.

Prince George’s County firefighters battled a fire in the UPS Customer Center – located at 8440 Ardwick Ardmore Road near the New Carrollton Metro station – which officials say is the length of three football fields.

While sprinklers activated minimizing damage, officials still reported heavy smoke inside the building.

Officials say the fire damage was limited to a delivery truck inside the warehouse. With this being the season of giving, there were packages on-board, with an estimated loss of $20,000.

With this being the season of giving, there’s been no word on if any packages were damaged in the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
