LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Embattled Mayor of Toronto Rob Ford is emphatically denying accusations that he offered to purchase a video allegedly showing him using crack cocaine.

During an appearance on The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan Thursday morning, Ford said the latest allegations were “an outright lie.”

Allegations that Ford attempted to purchase the video using cash and a vehicle were included in police documents unsealed by a judge on Wednesday.

Ford previously admitted using crack during what he said was probably a “drunken stupor” but has denied being addicted to the drug.

The mayor declined to discuss the matter further, saying he was on the show to talk about football.
