Metro To Halt Work For Holiday Weekend

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Metro has announced that it will take a break from scheduled rebuilding for the four-day holiday weekend but train schedules will be altered on Thanksgiving Day.

The system will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight on Thursday, and trains will run on a Sunday schedule. Off-peak fares will be in effect all day, and parking will be free at Metro-operated facilities.

Metrobus will also operate on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving, and MetroAccess paratransit service will operate during the same hours as Metrorail and Metrobus.

All Metro services will operate on a regular schedule Friday through Sunday and regular fares will be in effect.
