LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) – Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in a crash in Brandywine, Md. that left one man dead late Thursday night.

Prince George’s County Police say 72-year-old James Vaughn, of Fort Washington, was driving westbound on Gardener Road around 11 p.m. when he lost control of his car and struck a tree. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

This investigation is on-going.
