RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control officials have charged a Falls Church-area woman with illegally selling beer and food from her home without a license.
The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control says agents recently served a search warrant on the home of 44-year-old Ruth Guadalupe Zurita following a six-month investigation.
Agents found two banquet-style folding tables in the living room and additional seating and a temporary kitchen on the back deck.
While there, agents purchased food, soda and alcoholic beverages and witnessed 12 patrons in the home.
Zurita is charged with two misdemeanor counts of selling alcoholic beverages without a license and one count of maintaining, aiding, abetting or knowingly associating with others in maintaining a common nuisance.
Zurita is free on bond. It wasn’t immediately known whether she had an attorney.
