Man Fatally Stabbed, Police Officer Injured in Fight Outside D.C. Club

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — A man was fatally stabbed and a police officer was injured after a large fight broke out early Monday morning outside a nightclub near Dupont Circle in Northwest Washington, police say.
D.C. Police were called to the 1200 block of Connecticut Avenue NW at about 2 a.m. for reports of a large crowd outside Midtown Loft that had gotten out of control.
When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Sephar Jean-Simon, of Silver Spring, suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A D.C. Police officer was injured in the 1700 block of N Street NW while giving chase to someone who fled from the fight. Authorities said the officer suffered a dislocated shoulder and was taken to the hospital.
Police say they don’t have anyone in custody and don’t have a suspect description.
