Listen to How Fred Smoot Says the Word ‘Snippet’

by Chris Lingebach

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Fred Smoot is typically unforgiving about his southern drawl, which makes him all the more loveable.

An audio clip of Fred surfaced on Lavar & Dukes Wednesday which instantly gives one pause.

In the clip, Fred, who was filling in for Danny Rouhier on 106.7 The Fan’s Holden and Danny, coincidentally, is setting up another audio clip, in which a screaming Alabama fan vociferously defends the Crimson Tide on Danny Kanell’s radio show, or just … the Danny Kanell.

Of course, another word for ‘clip’ is snippet, which is a a small piece of information or news, according to Merriam-Webster.

But a schnipplet is more like a schnipplet.

Warning: From this day forth, you will never hear the word ‘snippet’ the same ever again.

(and to answer your question, no one knows why it took him so long to dive feet-first into radio — he’s just the best)

The Snipplet

Just the Clip
