SUFFOLK, Va. — A fire at a roasting plant in Suffolk has destroyed about 3,000 pounds of Colombian coffee.
Media outlets report that the fire occurred late Wednesday in a coffee hopper at the Massimo Zanetti plant. No injuries were reported.
The plant was evacuated and about 60 employees were moved to a nearby facility.
The city says employees were allowed to return to the plant about an hour after the fire occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
