UFC Champ Jon ‘Bones’ Jones: ‘I’d Smoke’ Richie Incognito in a Fight

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - The Junkies were truly delighted by UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jonny ‘Bones’ Jones’ appearance in-studio on Tuesday.
They talked about everything with Jones, who’s been the champ for close to 2 1/2 years now, including how he came into fighting professionally, his two brothers who are in the NFL with the Patriots and Ravens, and what it was like to chase down a notorious mugger after seeing a woman robbed in the street.
Simply put, Jones was, and is a badass, and he spoke on whatever he was asked about; even stuck around an extra segment to take phone calls from fans.
Professional fighters, especially guys who are at the top of their craft, as Jones is, are completely fascinating. There’s just something endlessly intriguing about a guy who could physically maim 99.9% of the human beings walking the earth with his bare hands. Talkin’ straight wreck fools.
And frankly, I could take any two-minute clip from his near 40 minutes on the air, and turn it around into a blog post, so why not just stick with what’s relevant to current events in sports.
Jones hasn’t really been following the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin bullying scandal (we should all be so lucky), in fact, he doesn’t even know who Incognito is, what the allegations are against him, or that he’s represented the face of evil to sports fans across the country for the last week and a half.
But he does know he could beat his ass.
“He’s just this big meathead,” JP described Incognito. “Probably 6’3, 6’4, 340. So if it’s Richie Incognito against Jon Jones, what’s gonna happen?”
“I’d kill him,” Jones said.
“Someone tweet him, let him know I’d smoke him,” he added. “Easy.”
EB: Because why, you’d just get him down. That’s all it takes?
JP: He’s not gonna catch you.
Lurch: Because he has SKILLS. He’s a trained killer.
Jones: Yes (laughing)
EB: No, I understand. I understand you’re a trained killer.
Jones: I’m not a killer, I’ve never killed anyone.
EB: I know. I know. No, but Jon, can you please just beat his ass though? Because he’s obviously a bully, like who cares if he bullied Martin.
Cakes: He’ll go to jail!
EB: No, no, no. He’s a douche bag.
Jones: Is he?
EB: And he’s just a guy that needs to get his ass beat. Can you please just do us all a favor and do it?
Jones: You know what? It would be my honor.
EB: Can you just do it? What would you do?
Jones: I’m gonna start threatening him on Twitter today.
EB: Yea, yea, yes!
It’s probably important to note Jones seemed to be kidding around, and doesn’t actually have plans to threaten Richie Incognito, or “beat his ass.”
But he could. If he wanted to.
Remember that, Richie.
Here are both the segments for re-listening purposes.
And here’s the least surprising soundbyte of the day….

And here’s this really creepy picture I took with him after the show, at which point he called me out for having shaky hands, and joaned a little bit.
I guess he hasn’t heard the news … joaning is bullying.

He responded. I’m forever grateful.
Lol @BlueShortsLIFE you're nuts—
