RICHMOND, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — Motorists in Virginia are paying on average 10 cents less per gallon for gasoline than they did in October.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average per-gallon price for self-serve regular gasoline on Tuesday was $3.05, down from $3.15 in October.

Check gas prices in your neighborhood.

The average per-gallon price in the Washington metro area dropped from $3.32 in October to $3.21.

Elsewhere in the state, the average per-gallon price in Roanoke dropped below $3 to $2.93. The average price last month was $3.07.

In Richmond, the average per-gallon price dropped from $3.10 to $3.

The Norfolk area saw an 11-cent decline, from $3.16 to $3.05

The average per-gallon price in Charlottesville was $3.02, compared to $3.06 in October.

Nationwide, the average price dropped from $3.44 in October to $3.18.
