LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The Washington area is bracing for the coldest temperatures so far this season.
A strong cold front is ushering in an arctic blast to the region that will stick around through the week.
Temps for Tuesday were in the 40s around the District but only in the upper 30s in the suburbs. Strong wind gusts between 10 mph and 20 mph made it feel much colder, dropping wind chills down to near freezing and even the upper 20s in some spots.
Cold temperatures continue Wednesday, with highs in the mid-40s and lows dipping near freezing.
Thursday’s temperatures will return to a more seasonal mid-50s.
