Mizeur to Announce Running Mate for Md. Governor

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Del. Heather Mizeur is scheduled to announce her running mate in her bid for governor.

Mizeur announced Monday she plans to make her choice public at an American Legion Post in Silver Spring. The announcement is scheduled for Wednesday.

Mizeur is a Montgomery County Democrat. She has represented the county in the House of Delegates since 2007.

She is running against Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Attorney General Doug Gansler for the Democratic nomination for governor.

Brown has named Howard County Executive Ken Ulman as his running mate. Del. Jolene Ivey, of Prince George’s County, is running with Gansler.
