Threat at Under Armour Headquarters in Baltimore Turns Out to Be a Hoax
BALTIMORE (CBSDC/AP) — Baltimore police searched the headquarters of athletic retailer Under Armour after someone called in reports of a suspicious person in the building, but the 911 call was later determined to be a hoax.
Police spokesman Det. Brandon Echevarria says the SWAT team evacuated employees who were inside the building Sunday.
He says the team searched the building for a possible barricade situation that turned out to be false.
Police say they do not believe the caller was affiliated with the Under Armour company.
According to the company’s website, Under Armour’s corporate headquarters is based in a warehouse-style building in south Baltimore. It is located along the water of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
