Three Firefighters Injured in Two-Alarm House Fire in Forestville

FORESTVILLE, Md. — Prince George’s County fire officials say three firefighters were hospitalized with burn injuries after battling a two-alarm house fire in Forestville on Saturday.

The fire broke out in the 2900 block of Walters Lane around 7:45 a.m. and took three hours to extinguish.

Two of the firefighters injured combating the flames sustained burns to their wrists, arms and ears, and have been released.

The third firefighter is being observed for possible airway injuries.

Officials say the three occupants of the home were able to escape prior to their arrival, although one, an 80-year-old woman, is being treated as a precautionary measure.
