Pantelides Wins Annapolis Mayoral Race

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — After days of ballot counting, Republican challenger Mike Pantelides has won the Annapolis mayoral race, the Board of Canvassers declared Friday night.

The unofficial vote count, which included absentee and provisional ballots, showed Pantelides ahead of Mayor Josh Cohen by only 59 votes.

Pantelides had led by a slim margin of 84 votes on Election Night with provisional ballots, more than 300 absentee ballots and votes from a broken voting machine from Ward 7 still left to count.

Pantelides will be sworn in next month.
