DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Prince George’s County Police say a man was fatally shot in District Heights, Md. late Thursday night.
Officers were called to Addison Road South about 11:55 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Police say 20-year-old Nafee Curtis Smith was walking when he was approached by someone who pulled out a gun and shot him.
Smith died a short time later at a local hospital.
Officals say the incident does not appear to be a random murder.
Police are working to establish a motive and identify the suspect.
