ASPEN HILL, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — A man was shot and killed after a group of men forced their way into his Aspen Hill home, police say.
Montgomery County police say the homicide occurred in the 13400 block of Grenoble Drive just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say three men knocked on the front door and forced their way inside when the door was opened. The three intruders, all armed with handguns, confronted three men in the home and a struggle ensued.
Police say 34-year-old Alexander Benson Buie was shot during the struggle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
The suspects fled, but police say it appears Buie knew the suspects.
The other men inside the home are cooperating with the police investigation.
