RICHMOND, Va. — The clock is ticking for Virginia voters who are casting absentee ballots in Tuesday’s election.

The State Board of Elections says registrars will be open for eight hours on Saturday — the final day to cast an absentee ballot.

Voters must meet one of a number of eligibility requirements to cast an absentee ballot. Applications can be found online or at local voter registration offices.

An ID will be required for voters seeking to cast absentee ballots at their local registrars.

The board suggests that voters contact their local registrar’s office to find out business hours Saturday.

Voters on Tuesday will decide races for governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and the General Assembly.
