Snow Plows Hit D.C. Streets During 70-Degree Weather

WASHINGTON — The District of Columbia government is making sure it’s ready for a snowstorm.

Mayor Vincent Gray will be on hand Friday morning as the city’s “snow team” participates in a dry run for a plowing operation.

Crews from the departments of public works and transportation will gather in the parking lot of RFK stadium before being driving around the city to test out their routes and equipment. About 700 plow drivers are expected to participate. Other workers will practice their duties at sites, including the district’s salt dome.
