Police: Man Answering Craigslist Ad for Car Killed

HARMANS, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Anne Arundel County police say a man responding to a Craigslist ad to buy a car was shot and killed during an apparent robbery attempt Thursday night.
Police found 44-year-old Rene Leiva-Archila of Baltimore in a parking lot on Railroad Avenue in Harmans about 7:45 p.m. Officers say he had an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body and later died at a local hospital.
Police say Leiva-Archila had arranged to meet with a man after responding to an ad on Craigslist. Officers say Leiva-Archila was interested in buying a car from the man.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, about 5’10” with a medium to heavy build, black, crew cut style hair and a five o’clock shadow. The suspect’s car is described as a silver or white mid-size, four door SUV.
