LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Police have arrested a man they believe is linked to more than 300 peeping cases in northern Virginia.
Michael C. McCarter, of Woodbridge, was arrested Friday after police received a tip from a person in the Kingstowne area.
Fairfax County Police say the 40-year-old McCarter is linked to more than 200 peeping cases in the Franconia District and about 50 peeping cases in each of the West Springfield and Sully districts dating back to 2011.
McCarter, who worked as a fuel delivery truck driver, would allegedly watch women in their homes while he committed a sexual act.
Police say he targeted random, lone women between the ages of 20 and 50 and would watch them through their ground-level apartment windows between the hours of 1 and 4 a.m.
