WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder maintained he has no plans to change the team’s name in a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday, according to the Washington Post.

The two were scheduled to meet at NFL headquarters, according to Comcast SportsNet’s Tarik El-Bashir and Chick Hernandez, who said Goodell is also scheduled to meet with representatives of the Oneida Indian Nation the following day.

The Post reports, via a person who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Snyder reiterated to Goodell that he has no plans to change the name. Furthermore, a second person with knowledge of the meeting tells The Post the focus was not on changing the name, but rather, on the team’s plans for dealing with the issue moving forward.
