HYATTSVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) — Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed five people and sexually assaulted two women at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon in Prince George’s County.

Police say two separate armed robberies and sexual assaults occurred within a 15-minute span in Hyattsville.

The first incident occurred at about 2:15 p.m. when a man followed two women into the woods in the 6700 block of Belcrest Road, robbed both of them and sexually assaulted one of them before running off.

The second incident occurred a few hundred yards away about 15 minutes later. Police say the same man robbed two men and a woman and sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing the area.

Police say the suspect displayed a handgun in both incidents.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s who was wearing “distinctive, colorful pants,” according to police.

Police are continuing to investigate.
