Mom Takes to Facebook to Find Missing Teen: Katie Peterson of Olney
WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A local mother has created a Facebook page to help find 15-year-old Katie Peterson, who went missing early Friday morning, and is asking area-residents to help spread the word.
Peterson, a sophomore at Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring, was last seen leaving her home in Brookville at 6:15 a.m.
Peterson is described as a 5’4” tall Caucasian girl with a thin build, brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a gray v-neck t-shirt, blue yoga pants and a black sweatshirt.
“Katie, please call this # 1-800-786-2929. It’s a special hotline for you,” Katie’s mother wrote on a Facebook page devoted to finding her. “They will come and get you and keep you safe wherever you are. Or please call me wherever you are I will get u. We love you and need you home now.”
