D.C. Police Arrest 2 After Double Shooting

WASHINGTON — D.C. police say they’ve arrested two men following a double shooting that left one man dead.
The shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday at a gas station near the intersection of North Capitol Street and Florida Avenue, Northwest. Two men were shot. Police say 28-year-old Freddy Hawkins died at a hospital, while the second victim is expected to survive.
Police say officers saw a car fleeing the scene, and they stopped the car on the Southeast-Southwest Freeway with four people inside.
Police say 20-year-old Justine Wilson of southeast Washington has been charged with second-degree murder while armed and assault with intent to kill. Twenty-three-year-old Reese Williams, also of southeast Washington, has been charged with accessory after the fact.
