ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — Shenanigans can and will occur inside an NFL locker room.

The latest example of this comes from the Washington Redskins locker room where linebacker Ryan Kerrigan entered into an ill-advised wager with defensive end Adam Carriker. A couple of weeks ago Kerrigan’s Purdue Boilermakers played Carriker’s Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Despite Purdue playing like ankle biters this season, Kerrigan agreed to the terms of the bet while appearing on “4th & Pain,” a show hosted by Carriker and myself.” If Purdue won, Carriker would have had to wear Boilermaker apparel and vice versa.

Naturally, Nebraska won. And won big, 44-7.

Like a good sport, Kerrigan paid up. Frown or not, he looks like he could have been a Husker.

And for the record, Carriker is the type of guy that would have paid up if a miracle would have occurred. Remember that time he lost a bet to Goldberg? Oh, the humanity!

The photo of Kerrigan decked out in a Nebraska hat is posted above.
