After Filming in D.C., Captain America Trailer Released

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The fruits of some local residents’ labor can be previewed in the new Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer, which was released today.

The film’s release date in the U.S. is April 4.

Back in May, filming took place around D.C., including near the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and on 4th Street between Independence Avenue, SW and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. A casting call asked local adults and children to participate as extras.

In the sequel to 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger and 2012′s The Avengers, Chris Evans is reprising his role as super soldier Steve Rogers.

IMDB.com says the new film follows him as he teams up with fellow Avenger Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) “to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.”
