LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The National Zoo’s panda cub is growing fast.

While weighing her on Wednesday, zoo staff found she gained almost a full pound since her last medical exam on Oct. 18.

The cub now weighs 6.73 pounds, is 19.29 inches long and measures 16.5 inches around her belly. She also got her first vaccine during Wednesday’s exam.

Handlers say they have observed her crawling and practicing new motor skills in her habitat.

Following Chinese tradition, the cub will be given a name when she is 100 days old on Dec. 1.
