Family of 3 Escapes 2-Alarm Fire in Manassas

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A family in Manassas was able to escape injury as their home became engulfed in flames early Wednesday morning.

The family of three was able to get out of the home before the blaze grew to a second alarm. The fire began around 2 a.m. at the home in the 10600 block of Tattersall Drive.

A photo taken by WNEW reporter Kevin Patrick shows serious damage to the burned out home.

The heat from the fire also damaged an adjacent home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
