WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — A body was found inside the Judiciary Square Metro station Wednesday afternoon, prompting the closure of one of the station’s entrances, authorities said.
Metro Police said they received a call about a body on the station’s Shady Grove platform level around 2:45 p.m. When D.C. police and medical personnel arrived they found an unresponsive adult male, believed to be in his 30s, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected, though police are trying to determine the cause of the man’s death.
Metro officials said the station’s 4th Street entrance is closed as police investigate the scene, but the F Street entrance is open. Metro says 8-car trains are bypassing the Shady Grove platform.
