Md. Police Search For Suspects In Home Invasion, Beating Of Elderly Couple

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — After an elderly man and his girlfriend were beaten and robbed in a Glen Burnie home invasion Friday morning, Anne Arundel County Police are searching for the three masked men responsible.

Oliver Daff, 87, told WJZ that the intruders pulled him out of bed, brutally beat he and his 73-year-old girlfriend Lynn Paquette, and stole a shotgun and a television.

After the men fled the house, which is off Dorsey Road, Daff called 9-1-1 from a neighbor’s phone.

Both he and Paquette were treated at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center and have since been released. Daff needed eight stitches on his forehead.

Anne Arundel County Police say they do not believe that it was a random attack, but they are not currently disclosing the reason behind that theory.

WJZ reports that a member of the community has offered to donate a new TV to Daff.
