LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Capital Bikeshare is rolling into College Park early next year, bringing red bikes to a second location in Maryland.
The bike-sharing program is expected to install 10 stations throughout the city by February, including six stations on the University of Maryland campus and one at the College Park Metro station.
A state grant will be used to help pay for the installation of the stations.
Stations opened for the first time in Maryland on Sept. 27, one week after the program celebrated its third birthday.
The Capital Bikeshare service, the largest bike-sharing system in the U.S., also operates in D.C., Arlington and Alexandria.
