ROCKVILLE, Md. — SWAT teams from around the region gathered in Montgomery County for an annual competition.
The National Capital Region SWAT Association held its seventh annual tactical competition on Friday. The event took place on the police department’s outdoor firearms range in Poolesville, and Police Chief Thomas Manger made opening remarks.
The competition raised money for a memorial fund for Jason Schneider, a Baltimore County SWAT officer killed while serving a search warrant in August.
The SWAT Association is comprised of more than 30 federal, state and local agencies in the region.
