LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Detectives are searching for a missing Montgomery County teenager who disappeared nearly two weeks ago.

Ashley Katherine Washington, 17, of Silver Spring, was last seen September 27. She is known to visit downtown Silver Spring, the Benning Road neighborhood of Northeast Washington, D.C., and the Anacostia area of Southeast Washington, D.C.

She is described as a black, 5-foot-10 female, weighing approximately 135 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and pajamas with purple lettering and white stars.

Montgomery County authorities say police and family are concerned for her welfare welfare because she has not been heard from and has not been seen since her disappearance.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Washington is asked to call the Montgomery County Police-Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
