Turkey Hill Issues Recall of Three Ice Cream Flavors

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Turkey Hill Dairy has issued a voluntary recall of several products in Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia due to the discovery that they may contain metal shavings.

The items are limited to packages sold at selected Turkey Hill Minit Markets in Pennsylvania, selected Wal-Marts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and other small grocers and convenience stores in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

All affected stores have been instructed to remove the product from their shelves.

Affected containers would have been purchased by consumers after October 1, 2013.

There’s a possibility the following packages of ice cream may contain metal shavings:

So far, no reports of injuries or foreign objects have been found.

Consumers who have purchased an affected package can return to the product to the place of purchase for a full refund, or contact Turkey Hill Dairy at 1-800-693-2479.
