KENSINGTON, Md. — Montgomery County Police have arrested a high school teacher they say discussed sex acts with a female student in person and by email.
Fifty-year-old Richard Brian Shemer of Potomac was arrested Wednesday. He has been charged with one count of sex abuse of minor and is being held on $250,000 bond.
Officers say Shemer, at teacher at Albert Einstein High School in Kensington, and a student there had conversations about sex in Shemer’s classroom and continued the conversation by email.
Police say the students’ parents discovered the emails and contacted authorities.
