ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins have signed free agent tackle Troy Kropog to their practice squad, filling the spot left vacant by Xavier Nixon who joined the Indianapolis Colts active roster earlier this week.

Kropog, 6 foot 6 and 295 pounds, played collegiately at Tulane and was a fourth round selection of the Tennessee Titans in 2009.

Kropog spent the bulk of last season as a member of the Minnesota Vikings practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on Dec. 8. He was released by Minnesota at the conclusion of training camp this year.

His career also includes a brief stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 27-year-old offensive lineman has appeared in seven games, all with the Titans, since entering the NFL.
