WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – The Maryland Terrapins men’s basketball team will hold Maryland Madness, the team’s annual celebratory first practice, at Cole Field House on Oct. 18, according to Washington Post’s Terrapins Insider.

Maryland’s basketball program called Cole Field House home for 47 years prior to moving into the newer, swankier Comcast Center in 2002.

“Cole Field House represented many of the most iconic and memorable moments in Maryland basketball program history,” Terps men’s basketball coach Mark Turgeon said in a statement. “Cole was host to multiple hall of fame coaches and countless All-Americans that helped make Maryland basketball what it is today. It will be a special evening for our fans, students, alumni and our university as we reconnect with the historic past of Cole Field House and Maryland basketball.”

Tickets go on sale on Monday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. The Testudo Times has a live clock counting down to the event, if you’re into that sort of thing.
