Fred Davis, Kai Forbath Out for Redskins Against Lions
LANDOVER, Md. (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins will be without tight end Fred Davis and kicker Kai Forbath today against the Detroit Lions.
Davis was a late addition to Washington’s injury report on Saturday after suffering an unspecified ankle injury.
Fortbath’s absence means the Redskins will rely on the leg of John Potter once again. Potter missed the only attempt of his young NFL career in last Sunday’s lopsided loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Brandon Meriweather, who sustained a concussion last week, is active after passing being limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He practiced full on Friday.
The biggest absence of all in the game comes from the Detroit sidelines where Reggie Bush will sit with a knee injury. Joique Bell will carry the load in his wake.
Also inactive for the Redskins are guard Josh LeRibeus, safety Jose Gumbs, running back Evan Royster, quarterback Rex Grossman and defensive lineman Chris Baker.
Inactive for the Lions are quarterback Kellen Moore, safety Don Carey, guard Leroy Harris, tackle Jason Fox, wide receiver Patrick Edwards and defensive end Devin Taylor.
