Capital Bikeshare Turns 3 Years Old

WASHINGTON — Capital Bikeshare is celebrating its third birthday.
The bike-sharing service now has more than 200 stations in Washington, and in nearby Arlington and Alexandria, Va., where members can rent the company’s red bikes. As part of the bike-sharing service’s birthday it will be holding a trivia contest via Twitter. Contest participants can win gift cards and annual membership prizes.
Capital Bikeshare is also one of the participants in Friday’s Park(ing) Day, where more than 20 District of Columbia parking spaces are being turned into temporary parks. The Capital Bikeshare’s park is near the company’s station at 7th St. and F St. in Washington.
