George Mason University Reopens After Power Outage

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — The main campus of George Mason University in Fairfax is back up and running after a power outage cancelled classes and events Thursday morning.

Dominion Virginia Power crews have restored power to the campus and the university said all classes and administrative offices reopened at noon.

The campus aquatic and fitness center, a parking lot, and a security building were in the dark as of 9 a.m. and the university cancelled all classes scheduled for Thursday morning.

The Arlington, Loudoun and Price William satellite campuses operated Thursday as scheduled.
