CHANTILLY, Va. — It’s Dulles Day at Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia.
Saturday is the 21st annual Dulles Day, a community festival that includes a 5k run, music, airplane displays and runway tours.
A main attraction is the so-called “plane pull” with teams of 25 people competing to see who can use a rope to pull a FedEx cargo jet 12 feet in the shortest amount of time. More than 70 teams have signed up to compete in the plane pull, and 2,000 runners are expected to participate in the 5k.
Proceeds from the event benefit local charities including Special Olympics Virginia.
