Crofton Man Gets 25 Years for Exploiting Minors in Child Pornography
BALTIMORE — A former Navy reservist has been sentenced to 25 years in prison sexually exploiting minors to produce child pornography.
Thirty-year-old Anthony Mastrogiovanni of Crofton was also ordered to register as a sex offender at sentencing Friday in federal court in Baltimore.
According to court documents, Mastrogiovanni was a U.S. Navy reservist between 2006 and 2012. Prosecutors say he sexually exploited more than 30 boys in Maryland and Louisiana to produce child pornography.
Authorities say he befriended his victims through his military affiliation and recorded sexually explicit videos of the children on hidden cameras in his homes.
