Brown, Ulman Officially Officially Enter Md. Gubernatorial Race
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown has officially entered the governor’s race, although his signing of forms at the state elections board was delayed by a suspicious package across the street.
Brown sat at a table at the Maryland Board of Elections on Friday, smiling as his running mate Ken Ulman also signed forms.
A suspicious package reported across the street from the board closed a small section of West Street in Annapolis near the board, but the street was reopened after authorities gave the all clear.
Delegate Heather Mizeur also is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor.
Attorney General Doug Gansler announced Thursday he is launching a kick-off campaign for the nomination in a statewide tour beginning Sept. 24 in Rockville, Ellicott City and Baltimore.
