ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Authorities have reopened a small portion of a West Street in Annapolis after it had been closed to investigate a suspicious package.
The closing of the street Friday afternoon delayed Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown from filing to run for governor because the closed portion of the street included the Maryland State Board of Elections.
Annapolis police say the item was an unattended backpack and it was found not to be dangerous.
