Driver Charged in Georgetown Waterfront Stabbing

WASHINGTON — The Secret Service has charged a driver with stabbing two people near the Georgetown waterfront.
Secret Service spokesman Max Milien says uniformed officers on routine patrol on K Street came across the incident on Sunday evening and arrested a man.
Authorities say the man, Yohannes Deresses, has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. There’s no information about the victims’ conditions or what led to the stabbing.
