WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – D.C. Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in Southeast on Saturday.

Police say patrol officers responded to the rear of the 2900 block of 2nd Street for the report of a shooting around 3:46 a.m.

They located an unconscious male, identified as 30-year-old Kenneth Guytrell Sweet of Northeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are offering a $25,000 reward to anyone that provides information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person wanted for the homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.
