FAIRFAX, Va. — A former day laborer who admitted to sneaking up on multiple women at Fairfax County shopping centers and cutting their backsides with a knife has been sentenced to seven years in prison.
Johnny Guillen Pimentel pleaded guilty earlier this year to four attacks on women, though police suspected him of slashing nine different women in a series of 2011 attacks.
None of the women was seriously injured.
Guillen Pimentel apologized Friday at a sentencing in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Prosecutors say he never gave an explanation for why he carried out the bizarre attacks.
After the attacks, he fled to his native Peru, where he was arrested in January 2012 and then extradited.
The seven-year sentence was the most he could receive under the terms of his plea deal.
