Motorist Strikes 12 Cars, School Bus in Northeast D.C.

LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — D.C. police have arrested a man who allegedly struck 12 cars and a D.C. school bus while driving through the District on Wednesday.

Police say the suspect was driving in the 4200 block of East Capitol Street NE when his vehicle hit 12 others and struck a D.C. school bus around 4 p.m. The man fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody soon after.

One person was injured in the accident, police said.

Eastbound lanes of East Capitol Street are closed before Texas Avenue as police investigate the accident.
